Argentina's Citizenship-by-Investment Program Is Coming, Expected Q4 2026
Argentina is preparing a citizenship-by-investment program, expected to launch in Q4 2026, that would let applicants naturalize through either a roughly US$500,000 non-refundable contribution or an approximately US$1 million government bond investment rather than the usual residence period. It would be the first G20 economy to open such a program since Turkey in 2017, and the Argentine passport carries both strong visa-free access and Mercosur settlement rights across much of South America. Final rules are not yet public — an early flag, not a settled position.
